# Withdraw funds

> Send USDC from your XO smart wallet to a supported destination.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Withdraw">
    From the account menu, choose **Withdraw**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a destination">
    Select a supported destination chain, then either a connected wallet or an external address. Check the address character by character — a withdrawal to a wrong address cannot be reversed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter an amount">
    Enter the USDC amount, or use a percentage shortcut.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review before confirming">
    Confirm the destination, network, amount, fees and expected delivery time on the review screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for a terminal state">
    If a transfer is pending, do not retry to a second destination until you know the status of the first.

## What you can withdraw

Only free balance can be withdrawn. Cash reserved by resting buy orders is not available — cancel those orders first if you need the funds. Open positions are not cash; you would need to sell them, or wait for resolution and claim, before that value can leave XO.
